During my first trimester, I used to always say to Jeremy, "I'm ready to feel pregnant!" Jeremy, in all his wisdom, would say, "You will have plenty of time to feel pregnant and you'll probably wish you didn't feel pregnant."
Well, my friends, the day has come. Megan is officially looking and feeling pregnant.

This past week, I had my feet swell to twice their size. If you know any random fact about me, it is that I LOVE my feet! I admit it: I am supremely vain when it comes to my feet. So, when my feet looked more like Shrek's wife's feet, it totally rocked my world! After drowning myself in water, propping my feet up at any free moment, and staying away from salty foods, my feet are looking more normal. Whew! Plus, I got to buy myself a new pair of shoes... Crocks!

Oh, also this week I had OJ for breakfast one morning. Guess what I had all that morning and into the afternoon? Acid reflux. Praise the Lord that I don't have that as a chronic condition. How awful!
Let's see what else... My allergies went completely crazy this week. I sneezed SO much and I thought I would rub my eyes out of socket. Since Benedryl is the only thing I can take for allergies (and it knocks me out), I had to suck it up during the day.
Then, due to my insane amount of sneezing or blowing my nose, I had my first nosebleed EVER!! Put that down in the books, ladies and gentlemen. Megan Stewart had her first memorable nosebleed ever on Friday, February 6.
Wow, I don't mean to sound like I am complaining. I just wanted to expound on the fact that I am feeling more pregnant lately.
Yet with all the fun (and not so fun) changes, I praise the Lord that He in His perfect timing has blessed Jeremy & I with a child. I praise the Lord that we did not have to suffer through months of trying. I relate to Paul (not in the same context) when he said I count all things as loss for the sake of Christ (Phil 3:7). I count all these "changes" as nothing compared to getting to know Christ and this precious little one inside of me during this pregnancy!

I got the same shoes my first pregnancy too! This time no swelling- yet. But I have the crocs on standby!
My guess is that's it was from all the standing I did as a teacher. Try to stay off those feet.
