Dear young man,
When you see a sign in front of a parking spot at a local grocery store that says, "Customer With Child Parking" it means, "Customer With Child Parking." Like a young child right there with you. Not "I have a child somewhere" or "I hope to have a child someday". I realize that this is a suggestion and not a rule, but out of courtesy to all Moms out there please don't take up that space if you don't have a small child with you.
You see, you may be too young to realize this but having a child with you (I can't even imagine more than one) at the grocery store isn't as easy. I don't know if you noticed how my child had to sit patiently in the hot sun in the grocery cart while I transfered the groceries from my cart to the car. You may not have noticed either that it was stinkin' hot inside your car (which didn't even a car seat in it). Addie couldn't wait comfortably inside the vehicle while this process was taking place. You see, my car thermometer read 102.
Oh, and as you walked past me to your single occupancy car, started the car and continued to sit in your car for no apparent reason I hope you didn't see me staring at you with my "Are you kidding me?" look because that was not a very nice thing to do.
In summary, my dear man, next time you see a situation where the company is trying to assist others (you know that whole treat others as you would treat yourself thing) please follow the suggestion and park somewhere else.
Have a great day,
Megan
