My Little Helper

This afternoon I was unloading the clean dishes. I had grabbed on the sharp utensils out of the baskets and was putting them into the drawer when I saw Addie out of the corner of my eye grab a spoon. I figured I would just let her play with it until I was finished. Then I saw a silver thing land in the drawer I was in. Addisen had taken that spoon and copied me by putting in the drawer!

She went back for another utensil and this time I picked her up and let her drop it into the drawer. This happened several times more until she found one of her spoons and was off on a new tangent.

It is amazing how much she can copy me already. She dropped mushrooms into the pasta pot the other night because she saw me do that. She loves to help put clothes into the dryer.

It makes me think about all the ways I want to live so that Addisen can keep "copying" me and grow up to be a Godly woman. What a high calling. With God's grace, I'm up for the challenge.
