Free the Bird!

Today is the first day I am all alone as a mom. Praise the Lord for Moms who were willing to hang around for several weeks to allow me to get my feet on the ground!

It has gone really well so far. Addisen has been great. She took a nap this morning and instead of napping with her, I decided to take a shower. Hmm... I think a nap would have served me better.

There is one thing that is absolutely driving me batty.. my dog! We somehow have a bird stuck in our fireplace. Bizarre, I know. It isn't in the chimney. It is stuck somewhere around it (don't ask). So, here I have a bird fluttering around in the fire place (which is unnerving) and a dog that is going bonkers and is barking and whining (which is even more unnerving)! Who would have thought this would be my first challenge as a mom.

I'll keep you posted on the bird situation. Hopefully we'll find a way to free the bird!
