We interrupt the bloggings of Addisen and her crazy adventures to bring you...
a parnets only vacation!
(I do have lots of other posts I have been wanting to share: Addie's slide, Addie and her friend playing with bubbles, a before and after of Jeremy's 60 pound weight loss, etc.)
Six couples from our homechurch recently went on a cruise (hence the lack of Addie-related blogs)!! It was one of the most fun trips I have ever taken! We left from Galveston on a five night cruise to Progresso and Cozumel. What pampering we received; we never had to cook, clean, put away dishes, wash, or change a diaper! :)
At Progresso, we headed inland to see the Mayan ruins.

Above is their temple. It is a seriously huge structure. It is quite amazing that they built this with only simple machines, instead of the technology we use today.
Below is the area where they played this game. The crazy thing is that the winner's captain is the one that got beheaded at the end because it was such a high honor to be sacrificed. (I think I would be a loser intentionally!) It had crazy acoustics, as you could hear almost anyone on the "field".

I know that Jeremy and I are what you would consider "short". However, the Mayan people are so small that we were giants!! Seriously, one lady barely came up to my shoulders!

Onto our next stop, Cozumel. Much prettier water. :)
A group of us went snorkeling there and saw some pretty amazing fish, crab, eel, and barracuda!

I loved the entertainment! They had mariachis, which totally made me feel like I was in my hometown!

All good things must come to an end, unfortunately. The cruise ended with a rough last day at see and several parents happy to see their babies!!
