With this new year, we concluded a decade. That is astonishing because it seems like just the other day we were all celebrating Y2K. So I have been contemplating what has happened in my life the past 10 years. Here is what I have come up with.
At this time 10 years ago I was in the middle of my junior year of high school. (2000)
Ten years ago, I hadn't even been driving for a whole year!
I graduated from high school and moved to a new town for the first time in my entire life. (2001)
I shared a room for the first time when I lived in the dorm with my now dear friend, Stacie. (2001)
I decided that I wanted to invest in the lives of children and show them Christ by becoming a teacher, thus changing my major from business to education ( and losing 12 credit hours...ouch!). (2002)
I spent 3 glorious summers at Pine Cove Christian Camps. There I was stretched beyond belief, both physically and spiritually. I became good friends with many special people, including my future husband, Jeremy. (2002, 2003, 2004)
I dated Jeremy for 1 year until he proposed to me on April Fools Day. (2004)
I married my best friend. (2004)
My brother married his lovely wife, Shelly. (2004)
I graduated from Texas A&M. (2005)
We welcomed the first addition to our family. We became the parents of Maggie, our Yorkie. :) (2006)
My brother and his wife graduated from grad school from DTS. They then felt called to lead a church up in Illinois. (2007)
I taught at a CSISD intermediate for 4 years. (2005-2009)
My parents moved from my childhood home to a closer location (yea!). (2007)
Jeremy and I traveled to Rome, Paris, and London one summer. (2007)
Jeremy and I purchased and remodeled our first home. (2008)
My parents, Jeremy's parents, and us went on an Alaskan cruise together. (2008)
My brother and his wife became pregnant and had their son, Asher. (2008)
I carried our daughter for 41 weeks. (2008-2009)
Jeremy and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Addisen, into the world. (2009)
What a difference a decade makes!
I look forward to all the new blessings from the Lord in the next 10 years.

Thats a fantastic list- even if it did make me feel super old that I had already graduated from A&M in 2000- when you were in high school!
